About Clean Air Action
When it comes to your right to breathe healthy air, our organization fights dirty with clean through sound policymaking and strong democratic principles.
Environmental Action and Advocacy
Clean Air Action is a sister organization to the Clean Air Council, one of Pennsylvania’s oldest and most respected environmental nonprofits advocating for a cleaner, healthier environment for all for over 50 years.
As a designated political nonprofit, Clean Air Action engages in a broader scope of advocacy for ALL people, including electoral work, lobbying, and supporting candidates and policies that drive meaningful action to protect our air, water, and land.
What We Do
We defend and fight for your right to clean air, pure water, and a healthy community by tackling four key issues:
Supporting the Fossil Fuel Transition
Fossil fuels pollute and damage our health and our natural resources. They are also used to make plastic (aka petrochemicals), which we know is significantly damaging our environment and public health. Transitioning away from an overreliance on dirty energy will help create a healthier, more prosperous future.
Advancing a Sustainable Economy
Clean energy sources are environmentally and economically more sustainable, and are a powerful way to reduce the often irreversible harms caused by extracting and processing fossil fuels.
Supporting Sound Policies
We advocate for sound policy that will protect our land, air and water quality, as well as advance a clean energy economy.
Protecting Democracy
Protecting our health and land means protecting our democracy by supporting voters and holding legislators accountable to represent those who put them into positions of power.
