Clean Air Action is excited to endorse the following candidates in 2025:
Alex Rose is running for Allegheny County Council, At Large. Rose understands the simple truth that a healthy environment is essential for us all to be able to live healthy lives. Rose's calls for tougher penalties for polluters, and to reward businesses that represent models for public health, represent an important move in the right direction to ensure Allegheny County can have a thriving economy, and clean air and water. Finally, he also appreciates the natural beauty of Western Pennsylvania, and that's why we are excited by Rose's candidacy and to endorse his run for Allegheny County Council!
Nadeem Qayyum is running for Northampton County Commissioner. Qayyum has committed to fighting for the prosperity of Northampton residents without allowing business and industry to supersede quality of life or the natural beauty of Northampton County. We can and should have both. Qayyum has also distinguished himself by saying that he would like to see Northampton transition to 100% renewable energy by 2030 and the creation of a climate task force at the county level. This clear-eyed approach is why we are thrilled to endorse Nadeem Qayyum for Northampton County Commissioner!
Geoff Brace is running for Lehigh County Commissioner! Brace has a proven track record of prioritizing Pennsylvanians' constitutional right to a safe and clean environment. That's why, in his first term, Brace helped create a sustainable energy program for businesses trying to reduce pollution and increase renewable energy, while investing in Lehigh communities. Brace has also worked to ensure Lehigh County has clean water as well as open space and farmland protections that help Lehigh retain its character and beauty. That record is why we're proud to endorse Geoff Brace's reelection as Lehigh County Commissioner!
Michelle Naccarati-Chapkis is running for Allegheny County Council, District 8. In her first term on County Council, Naccarati-Chapkis took a collaborative approach that prioritized ensuring Allegheny County residents have healthy communities with clean air and water. Naccarati-Chapkis understands that environmental challenges, like climate change, are threats to public health. She also knows that we should have a safe, healthy place to live as well as good-paying jobs. That's why we are so excited by Naccarati-Chapkis's candidacy and to endorse her reelection to Allegheny County Council!
Christina Vogel is running for Erie County Executive! For years, Vogel has demonstrated her commitment to her community through both her professional and personal endeavors, and we know that she will bring a much needed collaborative approach to running Erie County that will prioritize the public health and prosperity of all Erie residents. That's why we are so excited by Vogel's candidacy and to endorse her run for Erie County Exec!
Tara Zrinski is running for Northampton County Executive. Zrinski already has a proven record of fighting for Northampton County's public health and environment as a County Council member, and as Controller. Zrinski understands that we shouldn't have to choose between healthy communities and good paying jobs. We can and should have both. That's why we are so excited by Zrinski's candidacy and to endorse her run for Northampton Exec!
