How to Vote in Pennsylvania

Voting is especially important in Pennsylvania — a swing state where each election has enormous environmental stakes.

Due to recent changes in election law, registering and voting in Pennsylvania has never been easier.

Make Your Plan to Vote

In Pennsylvania, there are three different ways to register to vote: in person, by mail, or online. Remember to register and make sure that your registration is up to date!

Voting by mail is easy and secure. If you choose to vote by mail, make sure to request your ballot early. When you receive your ballot, (1) follow all instructions carefully, (2) USE BOTH ENVELOPES, and (3) fill out the outer return envelope.

Up to one week before Election Day, you can vote early in person at your county election office by requesting a ballot, filling it out, and returning it on the spot.

You can vote at your polling place on Election Day from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. If you requested but did not return your mail ballot, you can still vote at the polls by surrendering your entire mail ballot package at your polling place (ballot and envelopes) or voting provisionally.
