Share Your Concerns About the Impacts of More Gas Pipelines in Southwest PA
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is considering public comment while reviewing the environmental impacts of the proposed expansion of Energy Transfer-owned Rover Pipeline LLC's facilities in Washington County, Pennsylvania. This project will include adding new equipment to the Rover (formerly Bulger) Compressor Station to handle increased capacity, as well as expanding the Harmon Creek Meter Station to increase natural gas delivery capacity to feed petrochemical industry expansion.
FERC has extended the public comment period to gather input on the project’s potential environmental and public health impacts. Comments must be submitted by February 13th, 2025 at 5pm ET. Click here!
Without voices like yours telling our regulators what impacts the fossil-fuel and related petrochemical industry has on our public and environmental health, these industrial-scale polluters will continue to be permitted to contaminate our air and land. Public comment periods like the FERC scoping period lay the groundwork for community feedback to influence regulatory decisions.
You can make a difference.
If enough people send comments, FERC will have no choice but to consider and address these concerns within the scope of their environmental analysis for this project.
This Public Comment period deadline is set for Feb. 13, 2025 at 5pm ET. If you need help submitting a comment or have questions, please email Emily Wildman at ewildman@cleanairactionfund.org.
Making your voice heard is simpler than you might think! You don't need to be an expert to exercise your civil rights in PA, but adding your voice to the conversation can have a big impact.
